The Home Stretch

So we're 2/3 of the way through the pregnancy and I'm really starting to get BIG! My belly button feels like it will be popping out any day now and I'm starting to have trouble sleeping. But on the plus side I can feel Elizabeth move all the time now and almost everyone in the family has felt her kick. Bill got to her move by making noise near my belly and was rewarded with strong kick - the look on his face was priceless =).

The nursery has been our big project this month and thanks to tireless work from Dad the nursery is 95% finished. The walls are a beautiful yellow and the closet and cabinets are bright white. When paired with the crib which is done in classic Winnie the Pooh on pink fabric it looks really really pretty. Only thing left to do is hang window treatments, shelves and do some decorative painting - stuff that falls on to my To Do list. I'll post pictures of the nearly finished nursery soon.

We were stumped by a bottle!

So Saturday we headed to Babies R Us to register for baby gifts. We had already been to the store several times in the past few months looking at strollers and car seats and had done quite a bit of research online so we thought we were ready to register. We had no idea how wrong we were! We were cruising through the registry until we hit the Wall O Bottles - not exaggerating, an entire wall of baby bottle choices.
We stood there in total confusion as we picked up one bottle after another - did we want a slanted bottle, a vented bottle, a bottle with a bag, a wide nipple, a narrow nipple, a slow drip nipple, a fast drip nipple...the choices were endless. 45 minutes later we finally registered for a bunch of different bottles and nipples figuring if the baby doesn't like them we'll just go back and buy more. I think I now understand why do many folks breastfeed - less choices to make!
After moving along from the baby bottles we managed to fill out the rest of the registry and have (hopefully) figured out everything we need for Miss Elizabeth. Only 4 months to go!
